Marcel completed his 4 year BCom Rationum degree at Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and 3 years Accounting and Auditing articles with Deloitte and Touche in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.  He took over the family’s IT business and established a small Accounting Practise which he continued for a further 7 years before leaving for London with his wife in December 1999.  His UK experience was obtained while working for an 8 partner Chartered Accountants practise in London’s West End.  At the beginning of 2004, Marcel was able to establish his own business support company, IT & Accounting Solutions Limited which provides business consulting, outsourced accounting, finance and IT functions.

Marcel’s heart is to see businesses flourish and impact the community and therefore IT & Accounting Solutions focuses primarily on charities and Community Interest Companies – these not-for-profit organisations cover community, education, property, business incubators and charity centres.  Marcel also holds directorship of a few commercial entities and serves as Trustee of several UK based charitable companies and trusts after initially joining his first board of trustees in 2000.
